Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. Must be Certified with the Ohio Board Of Nursing.. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients, in an assisted living care environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting medication administration and any observed effects or side effects. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or changes in condition following medication administration. Provide support and assistance to patients in daily living activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Educate patients and their families about medication regimens, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to prescribed treatments. Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding patient information and adhere to all regulatory requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology . Experience in senior care settings is highly desirable. Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding healthcare systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy while providing caregiving support. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and best practices within a healthcare environment.
