Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about caring for seniors and wants to work in a supportive, resident-focused environment. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents by ensuring medications are administered accurately and on time while building meaningful relationships with the people we serve. Supportive leadership team Positive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' lives Ongoing training and professional development Beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care community Stable part-time schedule with opportunities for growth What You'll Do Safely administer and document medications according to physician orders and community policies Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition Accurately obtain and document vital signs when required Communicate resident concerns and medication-related issues to nursing leadership and healthcare providers Assist residents with medication reminders and self-administration when appropriate Maintain accurate medication records and documentation Ensure medication carts, storage areas, and medication supplies are organized and compliant Work closely with caregivers, nurses, physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality improvement initiatives What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Compassionate and resident-centered Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Committed to providing exceptional customer service to residents and families Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, understand, and accurately document medical information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or healthcare preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the community during shifts Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations About Columbia Place At Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, we believe senior living should be built on compassion, dignity, respect, and meaningful relationships.
