Job Description

The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area's premier independent living communities, We currently have an exciting opportunity for Full Time CNA/Medication Technicians If you are not Med Tech certified, we can train you!
Some job responsibilities include:
Responsible for PC Residents self-administration of medications and treatments, per shift in accordance with policies and procedures of The Village at Penn State and DPW. Assess resident's needs daily. Responsible for knowledge and compliance with all DPW Regulations on medications Assist with activities of daily living required by PC residents Report refusal of medications and/or services to supervisors and properly document to ensure medications/treatments are done Report and communicate daily with the nursing supervisor regarding Personal Care issues Document daily report sheets to ensure medications are double checked before self-administration and documented at same time and charting as events occur Report incidents on day of incident, fill out forms, and report to supervisor immediately. Maintain medication carts/medication refrigerator each shift. Responsible to complete treatments, mini nebs, accu-checks as ordered by physician Order/reorder medications for The Village at Penn State residents, daily checking and reviewing monthly Count and record all required medications after each shift with another staff person, including narcotics Schedule Details Full Time - 6:30pm - 7:00am Requirements Active CNA license in the state of PA Instructed in the self-administration of medications and assessment skills High school diploma or equivalent CPR certified Experience in geriatric care required
