Job Description

Job Summary:
The Medication Administration Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating medication administration training for staff in group home settings. This role ensures that staff are fully trained and compliant with state regulations and organizational policies regarding the safe handling, documentation, and administration of medications.
SCHEDULE
Wednesday-Saturday 8am-6pm
PAYRATE:
$20/hour
Location:
Hatboro PA, Philadelphia PA, Berks PA Key Responsibilities Conduct initial and refresher medication administration training. Provide hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and competency evaluations for staff Monitor compliance with medication administration procedures and report concerns to leadership. Maintain accurate training records and submit required documentation to regulatory agencies. Submit medication administration documents to human resources in a timely manner. Assist in the development and revision of training materials and standard operating procedures Serve as a resource to group home staff regarding medication protocols, side effects, and best practices. Conduct audits of medication logs and storage practices within group homes. Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff to promote continuous improvement and compliance. Participate in incident investigations related to medication errors and contribute to corrective action planning. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required actively certified in Medication Administration Minimum 6 months' experience administering medications in a residential/group home or similar setting. Strong understanding of medication safety, documentation standards, and healthcare protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train and coach staff with varying levels of experience and learning styles. Basic computer skills for training records and report preparation.
