Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medication Technician/Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe medication administration, personalized assistance, and emotional support, fostering a comfortable and respectful environment. Duties Safely administer medications following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track residents' health status Assist residents with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, grooming, and feeding to promote independence and dignity Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments within memory care units Support residents with tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures under supervision or according to training Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner for medication logs and medical documentation Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and timely communication of changes in condition Observe for signs of illness or discomfort and escalate concerns promptly to the appropriate medical team members Uphold all safety protocols related to infection control, HIPAA compliance, and proper handling of medical supplies and medications Assist with discharge planning or hospice care support as needed in home or community settings Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures such as catheter care and tube feeding Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care is advantageous Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Previous roles involving caregiving duties in senior care or hospice settings demonstrate strong suitability for this position Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing acute or chronic conditions Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
