Gatesville, TX Job Details Full-time | PRN 3 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Flexible spending account Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Certified Medication Aide CNA Full Job Description The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff while ensuring resident safety, comfort, and well-being. The CMA works closely with nurses, caregivers, residents, and families to support quality care and enhance the resident experience. Long-term care & Assisted/Independent Living available!
What You'll Do:
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies Accurately document medication administration and resident responses Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, or adverse reactions and report concerns to licensed nursing staff Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed Monitor and report changes in resident condition Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements Ensure medications are handled, stored, and administered safely Support residents with dignity, respect, and compassion Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards Assist during emergencies and respond appropriately to resident needs #zr Current Texas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
