Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and resident care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents across assisted living and memory care settings. Your expertise will support individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and home care services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, hygiene, and feeding needs Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Support patients with specialized care requirements such as tube feeding, catheter care, and physiology-related needs Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to appropriate healthcare professionals promptly Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety procedures during medication administration and caregiving tasks Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) in accordance with state regulations Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures Familiarity with electronic systems for accurate documentation of patient care Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management Compassionate caregiving skills with experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings, including acute care environments and community-based services Join our team to provide exceptional medication management and compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for our residents. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
