Position and Schedule Certified Medication Aide Full-Time Responsibilities Obtain report from licensed nurse/CMA being relieved and record sufficient information related to medication administration to implement accurate changes to medication orders. Administer medications to residents in an accurate, timely manner to include, but not limited to, correct resident/correct medication/correct dose/correct route/correct time. Observe residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and occurrence of adverse effects. Report immediately to licensed nurse. Document resident cares related to medication administration, related monitoring, and report to the licensed nurse any occurrence of observed adverse effects/change in resident's condition. Notify licensed nurse of observed changes in residents' conditions, medication errors, medication not available, and any other observations. Perform duties of Certified Nurse Aide as assigned. Follow comprehensive care plans related to medication administration based on each resident's needs and his/her comprehensive assessment as assigned. Participate in Community education programs. Promptly report observed changes in residents' conditions to the licensed nurse. Respond to residents' call for assistance promptly. Must-Haves for Role High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Medication Aide in the State of Texas CPR certification (preferred) Reliable transportation Per
