This role involves assisting with medication administration and providing quality care to residents in assisted living settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors requiring specialized care. Knowledge of medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and patient care procedures is essential. The Medication Aide plays a vital role in ensuring safe medication management while supporting residents' overall well-being and comfort.

Job description:

Responsibilities:

Maintain proper count of drugs, ensures that storage of drugs is in compliance with prescribed conditions of temperature and humidity, and verifies that all drugs are labeled properly. Prepares medication for residents. Distributes medication and instructs residents in proper application/consumption of medications per the directions of the physician. Records each distribution of medication in resident's medical file. Takes vital signs and records on the appropriate document.
