We currently have 1 opening for a medication Aide working double weekend shifts (6a-2p & 2p-10p both Saturdays & Sunday PRN also available.

SALARY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Medication Aide Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Accurately & safely prepare, administer and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the Attending Physician or by the Medical Director
• Verify that the medication brought into the facility by a newly admitted resident are examined and identified by the Attending Physician or the facility pharmacy or pharmacist
• Follow the labeling policies and practice of the facility
• Ensure that all medications administered are properly labeled
• Follow facility procedures in regard to the charting of medications
• Follow the medication card practices of the facility
• Follow established guidelines concerning the storage of drugs and biologicals

Medication Aide Requirements:

• State certification as a nursing assistant
• State certification as a Medication Aide
• Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies
• Highly developed observation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Walk in applicants welcome during normal business hours
