Job Description

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will be responsible for administering medications to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing safe and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Follow proper medication administration procedures, including accurate dosage calculations and documentation.
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report them to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records for each patient.
  • Assist with medication inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during medication administration.
Requirements:
  • Valid certification as a Medication Aide in Texas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Medication Aide or similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dosage calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
