Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Med-Tech to join our team in a residential assisted living home. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to residents in a home-like environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, administering medication as applicable, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. We are seeking candidates to work every other weekend with a rotating schedule of three to four days per week, 12 hours per shift. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or changes in condition. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of resident care and services provided. Assist residents with mobility and transportation within the facility. Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to Administrator/Supervisors. Engage residents in social activities and promote their emotional well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents with acute care needs or disabilities. Work with team members to maintain a culture of caring and respect in the home setting. Uphold a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents. Requirements A current Virginia Board of Nursing Registered Medication Aide (RMA) license Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of medical documentation practices and medication administration is essential. Familiarity with vital sign monitoring techniques. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, cognitive impairment, or special needs. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
