Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality care to residents in assisted living and memory care settings. As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, as well as familiarity with electronic health record systems such as ECP. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols. Monitor and document vital signs regularly to assess residents' health status. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all regulations. Assist in the management of medication inventory and report any discrepancies. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide support to residents during daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding medication management and resident care. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the facility. Qualifications Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in assisted living or memory care environments, is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs is essential. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
