Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, memory care units, and hospitals. Your commitment to patient care will significantly enhance the quality of life for those you serve, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report any concerns to nursing staff. Maintain accurate medication administration records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed. Provide compassionate support to patients, fostering a safe and comfortable environment. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about medication management and health maintenance. Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as required. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Medication Aide or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in patient care, particularly in senior care settings. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Previous experience in assisted living or memory care environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through quality care.
