Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in administering medications and assisting with the daily care of residents in our assisted living facility. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for individuals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be familiar with medical documentation practices. Responsibilities Administer medications to residents as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication administration protocols. Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Engage with residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being. Utilize systems such as EMAR for efficient record keeping and communication. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all residents by adhering to infection control protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Familiarity with caregiving practices for individuals with dementia or mental health. Ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and related documentation requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Certification as a Registered Medication Aide is required; additional certifications in CPR/First Aid are a plus.
