Then Normandy Park Senior Living is looking for you! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, and possess a strong understanding of patient care and medication administration. This role is crucial in ensuring that residents receive their medications safely and effectively while providing support in various aspects of their daily care. This is a full time NOC shift position (10pm-6am). Duties Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medication records and patient charts. Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to nursing staff. Assist with daily living activities, providing support in areas such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for documentation and communication regarding patient care. Conduct routine checks on vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff. Provide care for residents with specific needs, including those requiring tube feeding, catheter care, or memory care services. Experience Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and their families in a compassionate manner. CNA License required. A background in caregiving or home care services will be beneficial.
