We believe all Alaskans, with all mental health and addiction needs should have access to the best possible care. We are committed to helping Alaskans recover. About the TeamThe Residential team provides mental health residential treatment for adults with acute mental health needs who have not responded to outpatient treatment, have needs that cannot be met in a less-restrictive setting, or would benefit from further treatment following inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. The team provides medication services and individual and group services with a focus on skill development including communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution; life and social skills to restore functioning; and self-regulation, anger management, and other mood management skills.

What Youll DoProvide assertive outreach and engage individuals in the community where they are at and work to address barriers to housing and improve social welfare and healthcare access/ outcomes.

Provide case management support to clients in connecting to community resources as well as active skill building, focusing on skills to address functional impairments and to enhance the quality of lifeAssist clients in meeting project goals; to include areas of management of daily routine/skills building, applications for housing, employment/social welfare, healthcare, and referring to needed treatment or community resources.

Good To KnowFull-Time, Non-Exempt Scheduling will vary based on team needs and whether their Peer Support Specialist Position is full- or part- timePosition is based in Fairbanks, AlaskaFull-Time, Non-exempt Pay Range is $19.23 to $29.47/hour DOEThis position is eligible for annual incentive opportunitiesAKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 3% automatically contributed by AKBH, and 5 weeks of PTO for the first year, and 8 weeks of PTO after the first year.

The part-time positions are eligible for paid time off and two floating holidays per year. Both are eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan. What We Need from YouClinical Associate I - $19.23 - $24.89You have a high school diploma or GED You have one year's experience working in health care, home health, or mental health service settings with an adult population who has experience a severe and persistent mental illnessValid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving recordClinical Associate II - $21.00 - $27.18High school diploma or GED. (Associate degree applicants greatly encouraged to apply)Two years of case management experience working with mentally ill adults in relevant settings such alcohol, drug, developmental disability, physical rehabilitation, etc.

Valid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving recordClinical Associate III - $22.78 - $29.47Bachelors degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, etc.

Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.

Valid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving record Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Peer Support Training and have experience in a Clinical Associate/Case Management/Peer Support Role.
