Department of Information Systems and Operations Management is seeking to appoint a research-active and collegial Associate Professor
in Behavioural Information Systems. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in emerging areas within
behavioural IS, including (but not limited to) artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital sustainability. There is no preference
regarding methodological approach, and we welcome diverse research traditions and perspectives. We are seeking a candidate with an
established international reputation and a strong, sustained research portfolio. This will be demonstrated through high-quality publications
in leading Information Systems journals (such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, or
Journal of the Association for Information Systems), alongside a broader portfolio across the "basket of 11" journals. Active participation
in leading Information Systems conferences and a track record of attracting competitive research funding are also expected. The
successful appointee will contribute to a collaborative research environment, including supervision of postgraduate research students
(particularly PhD candidates) and participation in collaborative research initiatives. Read more about our

learning experience for students. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across Information Systems, including
topics such as systems analysis and design, data analytics, digital transformation, enterprise systems, and emerging domains. Consistent with the University's commitment to research-led teaching, you will integrate contemporary research and industry practice into
the curriculum, ensuring teaching is rigorous, relevant, and responsive to developments in the discipline. You will demonstrate a strong
track record in teaching and curriculum development, and the ability to use innovative pedagogical approaches, including student-centred
learning, active learning strategies, and blended delivery formats. All candidates will bring the ability to contribute service and
citizenship within and beyond the University, and to actively participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees and
activities. The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) is one of seven departments within the Business School. ISOM
delivers a comprehensive portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses spanning Information Systems, Operations and Supply Chain
Management, and Business Analytics. Within ISOM, the Behavioural Information Systems discipline comprises a group of 14 academic staff with
a strong track record of research excellence. ISOM is home to the Centre of Digital Enterprise (CODE), a research centre focused on digital transformation, addressing challenges faced by
organisations, governments, and society in an increasingly digital environment. This is a full-time (40 hours per
week) permanent position (subject to continuation). Remuneration is from NZ$165,808 per annum depending on experience
and achievements, and will be aligned with our Academic Standards policy. For more

in supporting the development and delivery of curriculum. You will be a collaborative colleague who contributes to the Department,
particularly within the Behavioural IS discipline. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to clearly articulate your
ideas, plans, and initiatives. Our ideal candidate must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and will also have the following skills
and experience: Experience in successfully delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses
Proven publication
track record in top IS journals such as MISQ, ISR, JMIS or JAIS and in addition a portfolio of publications in other 'basket 11'
outlets
Proven track record of attracting funding from both internal and external reputable funding schemes
Proven track
record in designing curriculum (part or entire programme)
Proven track record in successfully supervising graduate students'
