Job Description

Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) provides individualized treatment for youth and teens, ages 10-21 in residential treatment in Nevada City and Sacramento, and TBS services in Nevada City, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. MVCFS is currently seeking Community Based Service Workers who provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and/or Intensive Home Based Services at our Concord/Brentwood location. TBS is responsible for providing therapeutic behavioral interventions and replacement skill-building strategies for clients. TBS partners with child and therapeutic team to achieve and maintain the goals as defined in the treatment plan and are responsible for daily progress notes and other required documentation. IHBS provides in home services for clients who require more targeted interventions to build skills necessary for successful functioning in the home and community. MVCFS staff will work with the child and family, helping them to gain better understanding of behaviors and symptoms, practice new skills, rehearse positive parenting strategies, and other interventions aimed at improving clients' family's ability to help clients successfully function in the home and community. Therapeutic Behavioral Services Coach (TBS) / Intensive Home-Based Services (IHBS)
Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic behavioral interventions and replacement skill-building strategies to clients Work with client and families to achieve and maintain goals as defined in TBS treatment plan Billable services include Assessment, Collateral, Coaching, Plan Development, and documentation of services Coordinate work schedule with clients' schedule Meet all confidentiality and mandated reporter guidelines Know and utilize CIMH materials for best practices Provide in home interventions and skill building for successful functioning in home and community. Work with children and families to help them gain understanding of behaviors and symptoms. Complete all documentation in designated timeframes Attend all required MVCFS and county trainings and/or meetings Community Based Services Worker comprehensive employee benefits package :
    Compensation:
    $24.00-30.00/hour; Competitive/DOE; Additional compensation differentials based on education and shift

    Therapeutic Behavioral Services Coach (TBS)
    Minimum Qualifications:
    MA in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling (or any Behavioral Sciences major) plus 2 years of relevant experience in a group home, SED classroom, day treatment program, or equivalent setting OR BA in Social Work, Psychology, or other related discipline (any Behavioral Sciences major) plus 4 years of relevant experience in group home, SED classroom, day treatment program, or equivalent setting OR AA degree in any Behavioral Science field plus 6 years of relevant experience in a group home, SED classroom, day treatment program, or equivalent setting OR Experience working with children and their families in a variety of mental health settings is preferred Experience providing crisis assessment, management, and interventions is preferred.
