Burlingame School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long-Term Substitute Behavioral Aide (Position #252). This classified substitute assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through December 18, 2026. Under the general direction of an assigned administrator or certificated staff member, you will perform a variety of crucial activities supporting instructional programs for students with severe behavior needs. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and staff to implement individualized programs, manage behavioral data, and ensure a supportive, successful learning experience for children within both home and school settings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Instructional & Behavioral Support:
Assist teachers and staff in developing and implementing programs and materials to enhance the student's learning experience.
Individualized Program Implementation:
Execute specialized, individualized programs within home and school settings for children exhibiting extreme behavioral needs.
Inclusion Support:
Actively support and guide children as they transition into general education settings, promoting independence and social-emotional growth.
Data Collection & Collaboration:
Collect daily behavioral and academic data, prepare appropriate instructional materials, and consult with the student's IEP (Individualized Education Program) team on a regular basis.
