La Habra, CA Job Details $70,304 - $72,500 a year 16 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Opportunities for advancement Life insurance Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities CPI Certification Full Job Description The Assistant Administrator supports the Administrator in the daily operations of an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) licensed as an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) serving adults with developmental disabilities and significant behavioral support needs. This role assists in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards established by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) , California Department of Social Services - Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) , and all applicable Title 17 and Title 22 regulations . The Assistant Administrator plays a critical leadership role in maintaining a safe, structured, trauma-informed, and person-centered environment , while supporting staff oversight, behavior support implementation, incident response, and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standard of care for residents with complex needs. Key Responsibilities Operational Support Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
EBSH ARF
home Support implementation of person-centered services and behavior support plans in accordance with each resident's Individual Program Plan (IPP) and Individual Behavior Supports Plan (IBSP) Ensure the home environment remains safe, therapeutic, clean, and fully compliant with licensing and EBSH program standards Support continuity of care across all shifts, including 3:1 or enhanced staffing models , as required by resident needs Assist in monitoring house routines, programming, appointments, transportation, and community integration activities Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Support compliance with
DDS, CCLD, EBSH
program requirements, Title 17, and Title 22 regulations Assist in maintaining audit-ready resident files, staff records, medication logs, incident reports, and behavioral documentation Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance Support preparation for licensing inspections, DDS quality assurance reviews, regional center audits, and vendor reviews Ensure required reporting timelines are met for Special Incident Reports (SIRs), medication errors, client rights concerns, and behavioral incidents Staff Support & Supervision Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, training coordination, and shift coverage Provide direct oversight and coaching to DSPs, Lead Staff, and direct care team members Ensure staff maintain required certifications and trainings, including: CPI / Pro-ACT / crisis intervention medication administration abuse reporting behavior intervention techniques mandated Title 17 / Title 22 trainings Support performance management, coaching, disciplinary action, and corrective action processes as needed Reinforce adherence to behavioral support protocols, client rights, and zero-tolerance abuse/neglect policies Resident Care & Behavioral Support Coordination Monitor service delivery to ensure consistency with IPPs, IBSPs, and physician orders Assist in coordinating medical, psychiatric, behavioral, and therapeutic services Support implementation of behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with BCBAs, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams Ensure timely follow-up on incidents involving aggression, elopement risk, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, or other high-risk behaviors Support medication management oversight and communication with pharmacies and healthcare providers Communication & Collaboration Maintain effective communication with the Administrator, direct care staff, families, conservators, regional center representatives, behavior consultants, and medical providers Participate in IPP meetings, clinical reviews, behavior team meetings, and licensing visits Serve as Administrator designee in their absence, as assigned Support collaboration with the regional center and internal quality assurance teams to ensure ongoing compliance and resident progress Minimum Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human services, healthcare, or related field (preferred) ARF Certificate Needed Minimum 1-2 years of experience in residential care or services for individuals with developmental disabilities Prior leadership or lead staff experience preferred Basic knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations Ability to pass all required background checks and certifications Core Competencies Strong organizational and multitasking skills Knowledge of person-centered practices Attention to detail in documentation and compliance Effective communication and teamwork Ability to problem-solve and support staff in a fast-paced environment Why Work With Us We are dedicated to supporting both the individuals we serve and the professionals who make our mission possible.
