Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. As a Behavioral Health Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our clinical providers as they serve clients with a wide range of behavioral health needs, including depression, anxiety, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, and more. Your contributions will help ensure clients receive compassionate, coordinated, and effective care. You will play a role in helping foster a safe, supportive environment where individuals can build confidence, develop skills, and achieve meaningful progress. Responsibilities Welcoming patients and screening visitors all while maintaining a warm, professional and confidential environment. Directly assisting Psychiatrists and/or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with managing their day to day administrative needs. Assisting patients with scheduling appointments. Including answering any questions they may have about our services and explaining what is needed for an intake appointment, including forms/consents that need to be completed prior to appointment. Managing heavy phone volumes, routing calls and returning calls for voicemails received. Verifying patient benefits and collecting copays/deductibles. Transmitting any approved medication refill requests, including making sure patient is currently in compliance with providers treatment plan and communicating to patient if an appointment is needed. Communicating with provider regarding any controlled medication refill request. Completing Prior Authorization requests. Fulfilling medical records requests and strictly adhering to HIPAA.

$28.00 per hour
