Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting the growth and development of a 2nd grade student as a 1:1 instructional aide. This rewarding, part-time contract role offers the chance to work closely with a young learner, providing personalized assistance and encouragement to help them thrive in their educational environment. As a 1:1 instructional aide, you will work four hours a day—Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 11:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Wednesdays feature an adjusted schedule with an earlier start and finish, still encompassing a four-hour shift at the end of their school day.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school setting is highly valued Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed Ability to establish effective rapport with students, teachers, and staff Strong communication and collaboration skills Dependable attendance and a positive, encouraging demeanor Willingness to adapt to the individualized needs of the student
Role Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support and guidance to a 2nd grade student throughout the school day Assist the student with classwork, social interaction, and transitions between activities Work closely with teaching staff and special education services to implement personalized learning plans Encourage positive behavior and participation through consistent reinforcement and a supportive approach Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment within the classroom and on campus Monitor the student's progress and communicate observations with the school team Be a vital contributor to a child's educational journey and see the difference your support can make every day.
