Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a significant impact this summer as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting students within a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with learners across a range of age groups and abilities during Extended School Year (ESY) programs. Assigned to a school site, you will play an essential role in student success by providing direct care, instructional assistance, and promoting inclusion.
Qualifications:
One of the following: Associates degree or higher, or 48+ college units and a high school diploma, or passing score on CBEST/instructional aide exam with a high school diploma Willingness to perform all duties, including toileting, diapering, feeding, G-tube feeding, and more, as assigned by administration Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player Additional certifications highly desirable (ex: CPR/First Aid, sign language proficiency, vision impairment/Braille training, vocational nursing license) Experience working with students with significant behavioral or health needs preferred Must provide proof of qualifications, certifications, and a manager's reference for consideration
Responsibilities:
Support students with academic, social, and daily living activities Implement individualized education or behavior plans as directed Assist teachers and school staff in delivering instruction and care Offer physical, medical, or sensory support, such as feeding, mobility, or health procedures (following training as necessary) Model positive behavior and contribute to a safe, respectful environment Commit to required training and regular attendance for the full ESY term
