In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide personalized support, foster positive behavior, and promote community integration. Your compassionate approach and proactive attitude will help create a safe, engaging environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their goals. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores to promote independence. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. Support communication efforts using various methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), to facilitate effective interaction. Provide transportation for appointments, community outings, and activities, ensuring safety and adherence to all driving regulations. Collect and document data related to progress, behaviors, medication administration, and other relevant information accurately and consistently. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and social workers to coordinate care plans and support services. Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict safety standards. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of special education principles and techniques for supporting individuals with disabilities. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language preferred. Hands-on experience with home and community care services, caregiving, or direct support roles. Ability to manage behaviors effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to transport clients safely. Familiarity with assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance. Experience in data collection for progress tracking or behavioral documentation is highly desirable. Background in social work or behavioral health fields is a plus.
