Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-tim or Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or unlicensed therapist (CAS, LPCC, ADDC, etc.) to join our team and support clients in their recovery journey. The BHT plays a vital role in providing direct care, structure, and behavioral support to individuals participating in substance use disorder and mental health programming. This fast-paced position requires professionalism, empathy, and consistency in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while working closely with clinical and support staff.
Schedule:
Part-time weekend (Sat/Sun 9am-7pm) Full-time days - 4-10hour shifts OR 5-8hr shifts (M-F, Sun-Wed, or Wed-Sat)
Responsibilities:
Provide support, and crisis intervention for clients in residential or outpatient settings. Model and encourage healthy coping, emotional regulation, and daily living skills. Monitor client participation in programming and document observations in accordance with Medicaid and agency standards. Assist with group facilitation, community activities, and implementation of treatment goals. Conduct safety checks, enforce program rules, and promote accountability within the therapeutic environment. Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding client behavior, progress, and concerns.
Documentation/Group Notes Qualifications:
Must hold a Qualified Behavioral Health Aide (QBHA) certification or possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field. Experience working in behavioral health, recovery, or residential settings preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in high-stress situations.
