Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Professional to provide essential assistance and support to individuals with diverse needs within their home and community environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by fostering independence, promoting social engagement, and ensuring safety through personalized care and support. Responsibilities Assisting with daily living and independent living skills Encouraging client recovery goals and community integration Supporting clients with appointments, routines, and wellness goals Maintaining professionalism and accurate documentation Provide direct support during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities to facilitate social integration and community participation. Collect and document data related to individual progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes to inform care planning and reporting. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that meet each individual's unique needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment and emergency procedures. Drive clients safely to appointments or community activities as needed, ensuring compliance with all driving safety standards. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Recovery Assistant (RA) experience required OR a Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices relevant to supporting individuals with diverse needs. Proficiency in behavior management techniques and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). Ability to communicate effectively using verbal skills or alternative methods. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. Prior experience in caregiving or direct support roles within behavioral health or social work fields is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to transport clients safely is required. Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking progress and service documentation.
