The ideal candidate:

Works effectively as a team member and communicates well with students and staff. Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and high ethical standards. Supports students academically, socially, behaviorally, and physically as needed. Can work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning. Uses common sense, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Is willing to assist with daily student needs, including supervision, feeding, toileting, mobility, and personal care when required. Can safely participate in the physical demands of the position, including lifting, positioning, and assisting students. Is eager to learn and implement strategies that support students with disabilities. Values collaboration, continuous learning, and helping every child reach their full potential. Qualification\Certifications Southside Primary School PreK-D Paraprofessional Southside Primary School is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated PreK-D Paraprofessional to support young learners with disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to assist students with academic, social, behavioral, and developmental needs while helping create a safe and engaging classroom experience.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree (AA), a passing score on the Paraprofessional Examination, or at least 60 college credit hours. Experience and/or training working with students; experience supporting children or adults with disabilities is preferred. Any equivalent combination of training and experience deemed appropriate by the School Board.
