Job Description

Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students across Pre-K through 12th grade as a Behavior Specialist (BCBA). This fulfilling opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with educators, families, and learners, focusing your expertise on positive behavioral interventions and individualized support. You'll be onsite, working with a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, helping them achieve their fullest potential in a supportive school environment. Travel candidates are encouraged to apply and bring their skills to an engaging new community.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required Previous experience as a Behavior Specialist in an educational setting preferred Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families Strong organizational skills and the capacity to effectively manage a diverse caseload Flexibility and adaptability to support a range of student needs across age groups
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional behavior assessments and collect relevant data Design and implement evidence-based behavior intervention strategies for students Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to teachers and support staff Participate actively in IEP and student support team meetings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive educational plans Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with school policies As a valued professional in this contract role, you'll gain the opportunity to make an immediate difference while expanding your experience in a dynamic school setting.
