Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement behavioral therapy strategies, assist with daily living activities, and support educational and behavioral goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA). Your efforts will promote positive behavior management, foster independence, and enhance overall well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care and developmental support. Duties Deliver evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), tailored to each individual's needs. Assist children and individuals with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines. Collect, record, and analyze data related to behavior patterns, progress notes, and treatment outcomes to inform care plans. Support educational activities by implementing teaching strategies aligned with special education principles. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update personalized care plans that address behavioral health and behavioral management goals. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records, treatment logs, and HIPAA-compliant records to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Engage in ongoing training on medical terminology, behavior management techniques, and HIPAA regulations to enhance service quality. Experience Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy methods, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential. Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies is advantageous. Familiarity with medical documentation practices, medical terminology, and maintaining HIPAA compliance is beneficial. Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals are required. Prior involvement in special education or behavioral health settings will support success in this role.
