Behavioral Support Aide Atlanta Youth Services Atlanta, GA Job Details Contract $20 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications RBT Certification HIPAA High school diploma or GED Driver's License Associate's degree Seeing patients as a registered behavior technician Full Job Description Job Overview Atlanta Youth Services LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Behavioral Support Aide to provide in-home autism respite care services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who are in foster care or have been adopted. Our respite services provide caregivers with temporary relief while ensuring children receive safe, engaging, and individualized support in their home environment. As a Behavioral Support Aide, you will implement individualized respite care activities that promote social interaction, communication, emotional regulation, independence, and community engagement based on each child's strengths, interests, and needs. You will create meaningful experiences through play, structured activities, life skills, and positive behavioral support while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and passionate about serving children who have experienced trauma and understands the unique needs of youth with autism. This role requires professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for both children and their caregivers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, individualized in-home autism respite care services for children and adolescents with autism in foster and adoptive homes. Engage participants in age-appropriate recreational, educational, sensory, and life skills activities that promote independence and social development. Maintain a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment while ensuring participant health and well-being. Utilize positive behavior support strategies to encourage appropriate behaviors and emotional regulation. Follow each participant's individualized service plan and document services accurately and timely. Communicate professionally with caregivers, supervisors, and the care team regarding participant progress and concerns. Report safety concerns, incidents, and suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with agency policies and Georgia mandated reporting laws. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Atlanta Youth Services LLC policies. Attend required trainings and maintain all required certifications and credentials.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred). Successfully complete a 40-Hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training Program prior to hire. Proof of completion is required. Successfully pass a Georgia Fingerprint-Based Criminal Background Check prior to providing services. Background check fee will be reimbursed by Atlanta Youth Services LLC after successful onboarding and commencement of services. Have experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs. Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance. Demonstrate excellent communication, professionalism, patience, and the ability to work independently. Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
