Job Description

Starting the 2026-2027
School Year:
Health Assistant The Dike-New Hartford is seeking a caring and organized Health Assistant to support the school nurse in providing health services to students and staff. This position assists with student health needs, medication administration, record keeping, screenings, and maintaining a safe and healthy school environment.
Starting pay:
$17/hour - relevant experience will be considered
Tentative Hours:
7:45 am - 3:30 pm Qualifications High school diploma required CPR/First Aid certification preferred Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Responsibilities Provide first aid and assist with student health concerns Administer medications per district policy Maintain student health records and documentation Assist with health screenings and supply inventory Communicate with parents, staff, and the school nurse regarding student health needs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized health office
