QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma Demonstrated competence in tasks assigned preferred. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL
To empower at-risk junior high students to overcome academic and behavioral barriers by providing tailored individual support, reinforcing positive expectations, and collaborating with school staff to monitor progress and foster overall student success.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with at-risk students to identify their needs, challenges, and barriers to academic success while providing support and guidance to help them overcome obstacles. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help with academic or behavioral tasks. Supervise students during class activities, transitions, and free time. Help students with tasks such as homework, classwork, and organization. Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations. Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources. Support students with special needs or accommodations as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans. Monitor student progress and behavior, and communicate observations to classroom teachers, at risk coordinator, and administration. Collaborate with other staff members, including special education teachers, therapists, and support staff, to meet the needs of all students. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
