Behavioral Interventionist Axiom Community Services Boise, ID Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $19.50 - $25.50 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Bachelor of Science Sociology Working with children Human Services Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Interventionist, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a Human Studies Field (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Education, etc.) and has demonstrated a passion for working with children with medical and behavioral needs. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect and record data meticulously to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Collaborate with families, teachers, and healthcare professionals to support consistent behavior management strategies across settings. Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and foster motivation during therapy sessions. Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with medical records standards. Support clients during therapy sessions by providing patient care in a compassionate manner that respects individual needs and preferences. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Bachelor's (BA/BS) in a Human Services Field (i.e. health care, social services, education, behavioral science, or counseling) from a nationally accredited college or university is required. Additional Qualifications Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Pay:
$19.50 - $25.50 per hour
