The Practice Assistant helps maintain efficient office operations, safeguards patient information, and supports both patients and providers with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities
- Support providers in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients
- Assist with the daily operations of a fast-paced medical practice Maintain patient confidentiality by accurately completing, handling, and safeguarding
- medical records
- Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures to protect patients and the organization
- Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information using established policies and reference tools
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist during crisis situations as needed
- Understand and follow all clinic policies, procedures, and best practices
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, behavioral health, or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Experience supporting patients experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent computer and administrative skills
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in a healthcare environment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
