; PAF/Position Details Position Details Position Title Visiting Assistant Professor, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Position Status Full-time Tenure One Year Appointment Rank Assistant Professor Budget Summary Base Pay $73,915 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's program in the Department of Psychology at Lewis University seeks a full-time, visiting Assistant Professor to support the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. The position is for a two-year time period. Please click the link on our benefits.   • Serve as a Core Faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program
  • Teach a total of eight graduate classes per year
  • Graduate student advising
  • Assist with CACREP efforts
  • Assist in the development and implementation of continuous program evaluation and improvement
  • Cooperate with the Program Director, CACREP liaison, and the Director of Training and Assessment in the developing of the curriculum, preparation and update of course syllabi, course outlines, and selection of textbooks and additional curricular materials
  • Participate in Department, College, and University meetings Minimum Qualifications Doctorate in counselor education and supervision and1-3 years of teaching in a college setting. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will:
  • have a clear counselor educator identity,
  • have clinical and supervisory experience in working with students and clients of diverse backgrounds,
  • evidence of scholarship in the counseling education field,
  • be licensed or license eligible in the State of Illinois,
  • demonstrate cultural competent teaching and counseling practices, and
  • present evidence of scholarly potential.
