Job Description

Focused Family Services is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Behavioral Health Specialist / Office Assistant to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines direct client support through PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) services with essential administrative and office duties that support daily agency operations. Position Summary This role provides structured behavioral health interventions to children and/or adults diagnosed with severe mental health disorders, while also assisting with front-office tasks, documentation, scheduling, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is flexible, client-centered, and comfortable balancing clinical support with clerical responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Clinical /
PSR Duties:
Provide PSR services to clients in home, community, and/or virtual settings Support clients in developing coping skills, social skills, and daily living skills Assist with goal development and implementation of treatment plans Document sessions accurately and in a timely manner according to agency standards Support engagement, motivation, and skill-building activities
Office Assistant Duties:
Assist with intake coordination and client scheduling Maintain accurate and organized client records (paper and electronic) Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and support front desk operations Assist with data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks Support clinical staff with documentation and workflow coordination Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Experience in behavioral health, PSR, case management, or related services required or strongly preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for community-based services Comfortable working in both clinical and administrative environments Preferred Skills Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with severe mental illness Familiarity with PSR, CPST, or community-based services Strong documentation and computer skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in dynamic environments Work Environment Hybrid role: combination of office-based and community-based Flexible scheduling depending on client needs Supportive team environment with supervision and training provided Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Flexible schedule Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Training and ongoing clinical support provided
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
