Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Professionals/Specialists to join our dynamic MHR healthcare team. An MHP/MHS provides direct, day-to-day care for patients dealing with behavioral and mental health challenges. Working under licensed clinicians, they maintain a safe environment, monitor patient progress, and assist with emotional support. A Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR) focuses on community psychiatric supportive treatment (CPST) and psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR). Facilities in the greater New Orleans/Northshore region frequently recruit for these positions to provide home and community-based services.
Duties Patient Monitoring:
Conduct routine observations of client behavior, moods, and symptoms, reporting any significant changes to the medical team.
Documentation:
Keep accurate and confidential patient records, update progress notes, and track responses to individualized treatment plans.
Clinical Support:
Assist licensed professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers, LMHPs) during intake, discharge, and routine check-ups.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required. Masters preferred.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR/First Aid are generally required. Specialized MHT or Crisis Intervention certifications are highly preferred but will be provided.
Skills:
Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to handle high-stress or fast-paced environments.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with mental health disorders, therapeutic practices, and policies. Pay is DOE. Hiring multiple full time and part time individuals. Room for expansion.

From $13.00 per hour
