Behavioral Health Specialist Mental Health Agency New Iberia, LA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications HIPAA Driver's License Bachelor's degree Driving Data interpretation Working with individuals with mental health conditions Social Work Full Job Description Job Summary Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS) provide comprehensive and effective mental health services to children, adults and families. Services are individualized according to each person's needs, strengths, and goals. Our Behavioral Health Specialists are an essential part of our organization. As a BHS, you'll have the opportunity to change people's lives by providing in-home mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities and Duties Summary of Duties The Behavioral Health Specialist is primarily responsible for providing Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment and Psychosocial Rehabilitation services to help clients improve their quality of life and perform activities independently as described by the fundamental responsibilities as listed below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides in-home mental health services to clients. Communicates and interacts in a professional manner with clients, families and staff. Maintains accurate documentation on clients and submits documentation in a timely manner. Utilizes time appropriately to ensure goals and tasks are being accomplished with clients. Conducts self in accordance with employee manual. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. Qualifications and Skills Qualifications Ability to work independently. Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation, as traveling to client sites is a requirement. Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully. Education and Experience Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree in the Behavioral Health field (i.e. Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Rehabilitation) Minimum of 1-year experience working in the Behavioral Health field, with the target population, is required
