71 United States, Massachusetts, Salem 1 Dove Avenue (Show on map) May 27, 2026 Responsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients by supporting the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu. Also responsible for providing leadership and direction to more junior staff based upon experience and special training in various areas of mental health service delivery. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions
  • Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
  • Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
  • Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions
  • Give input on overall structure of treatment program.
  • Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (i.e. suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
  • Provides accurate information on shift-to-shift report and remains on the unit while incoming shift is in report.
  • Monitor quality of services provided to enrollees
  • Displays professional boundaries in relationships with patients at all times.
  • Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Experience related experience 3-5 years required experience working with people in behavioral health setting 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work well collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, other members of the Health Care Team, facility personnel, and families/supportive others.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Successful completion of CPI training is required within 30 days of hire.
