Behavior Support Assistant, Southampton Suffolk County Behavior Support Assistant Job Type:
Part Time Location:
Southampton Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:00pm- 60 hrs
Bi-weekly Date Job Posted:
March 2026 Assist our Special Education Teachers with implementation of classroom wide and individualized behavior management strategies/plans within the special education preschool classroom setting. In this exciting role, you will follow the lead from the teacher and intervene for consistency on behavioral strategies and tiered interventions being implemented. You will float in and out of each self-contained classroom, where needed, at the direction of the site coordinator.
Qualifications:
Must have a HS Diploma/GED; Experience with behavior management and tiered interventions with special needs preschool children essential. Some college credits in Early Childhood Education is preferred, Teacher's Assistant Certification a strong plus. Bilingual Preferred. Benefit Eligible -
