Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Mental Health Aide provides supportive care to individuals with mental health challenges, substance use issues, or both, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a compassionate individual who can assist in the delivery of mental health services while adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily living activities. Monitor patient behavior and report changes to mental health professionals. Support therapeutic programs and group activities. Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient dignity at all times. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Enforce safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment. Keep accurate records of patient interactions and care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certification in mental health or substance use preferred. Prior experience in a security role or mental health setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage crises and defuse stressful situations. Understand principles of mental health, substance use, and recovery.
