School Aide

• School AIde - Summer Session into 26/27 SY
• The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.

The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

• Minimum Requirements:

• + High School diploma or equivalent required + Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay Rate:

$20 / hr , pay weekly

Hours/schedule:

Summer Hours:

Mon-Thurs (7:45am-2pm)

Regular School Year Hours:

Mon - Fri (7:45am-2:45pm)

Qualifications/Licensure:

HS Diploma/GED Required Typical job duties & work environment: Working 1-1 with students that have Autism and related behavior issues. Also some other functions such as classroom prep Specific experience required: Previous experience with Autism Top 3 skills needed for success: Timely,professional, able to verbally deescalate Ratios (if applicable): average of 7 students in the classroom Location of assignment:

Baltimore, MD Float Requirement:

Yes- Float to other classrooms as needed

Credentialing Requirements:

Fingerprinting, CPS, MD486, MSDE, Seasonal Flu Shot
