Job Description

IISS Technician Abilis Autism in Action About Us We provide dedicated evidence-based support and compassionate trauma-informed care to families and their children or young adults with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Our services focus on promoting independence, improving social and behavioral skills, and helping participants succeed at home and in their communities. Position Summary We are seeking compassionate, passionate and reliable Intensive Individual Support Service (IISS) Technicians to provide one-on-one support to children with autism. Technicians work directly with participants in their home or community to help build daily living, communication, and social skills while reducing challenging behaviors. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and implement individualized interventions Implement individualized behavioral and skill-building strategies Assist with structured daily routines and activities Use positive behavior interventions and behavior management techniques Help prevent or de-escalate behavioral challenges Document services and participant progress Collaborate with families and other providers involved in care Requirements At least 100 hours of experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities (work, volunteer, or family experience) Ability to pass a CJIS background check Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals Schedule 1-2 days per week 2:45pm

  • 8:00/9:00pm Take client to horseback riding lessons twice a week Location In Person Potomac/Rockville Montgomery County, MD Pay $23
