In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while assisting with therapeutic activities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and contribute to the overall care of patients. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on behavioral health needs. Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Provide support in crisis intervention situations, ensuring the safety of all patients. Engage patients in therapeutic activities and promote social interaction. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient progress. Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to medical terminology and protocols. Collect data on patient behavior and responses to treatment for ongoing assessment. Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Qualifications Must be able to successfully pass a federal background check. Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) required. Experience in behavioral health settings and/or supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred. Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, accurate documentation practices, and medical records management required. Previous medication administration experience highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to collect, track, and document client data to monitor progress and support care planning. Experience working with children in a mental health or behavioral health setting preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
