The Student Mental Health Service Provider will support Delta-Schoolcraft district teams in identifying general education students who need mental health support and assist in reducing emotional barriers preventing the student from participating in an appropriate educational experience in the least restrictive environment. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide direct services to K-12 general education students with mild to moderate mental health issues who are not already receiving those services through an IEP. This position will involve developing treatment plans and interventions, serving students directly (e.g., individually or through group therapy), providing case management when applicable, coordinating communication with parents, staff, and administration, and providing appropriate referrals to students in need of more intensive services.QUALIFICATIONS
: Applicants must hold one of the following certifications to be considered: A licensed master's level social worker, or a limited licensed master's level social worker under the supervision of a licensed master's level social worker A licensed master's level psychologist, or a limited licensed master's level psychologist under the supervision of a licensed psychologist; or an MDE-credentialed master's level school psychologist; A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) A board-certified assistant behavior analyst (BCaBA) under the supervision of aBCBA ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Psychological, professional counseling, behavioral, and social work services may include, but are not limited to medically necessary screening, diagnosis and assessment, treatment, and other services to correct or ameliorate behavioral health or medical condition(s).These services include:
Administer a comprehensive behavioral health assessment, including the use of validated screening tools to determine students' needs for specific psychological, health, or related services. Develop a plan of care for students with behavioral, social, emotional, or mental health concerns with input from the student, school personnel, and parents/caregivers as appropriate. Provide behavioral health interventions to enhance the psychological, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social factors important for the prevention, treatment, or management of behavioral health concerns Coordinate with school leadership teams to incorporate and enhance mental health and behavioral services in a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)/Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. Obtain, integrate, and interpret information regarding students' mental health needs and the supports necessary for success in school and life; and plan and manage mental health services. Assess the effectiveness of delivered services toward achieving student-driven goals and objectives. Assess needs for additional services, making referrals when appropriate to community mental health agencies. Provide crisis intervention and be an active member on school-based behavior intervention teams. Assist others' understanding of a student's diagnosis, behavioral health needs, the student's development, and support and services offered. Maintain detailed case files and complete records in a timely manner. Complete necessary procedures for Medicaid billing. Attend student staffing meetings upon request, participate in building/district Behavioral Health Assistance Teams (BHAT). Attend and participate in Mental Health Services team department meetings and activities. Regular and predictable in-person attendance is required for this position. Provide administration with the necessary information required for monitoring activities. Develop and implement in-service training programs in areas of expertise as requested. Support the Mental Health Systems and Services Coordinator in expanding suicide prevention (e.g., Youth Mental Health First Aid) trainings and social-emotional learning instruction/interventions and trainings to the educational community. Required to travel throughout Delta and Schoolcraft counties to service our local school districts and PSA. Complete other duties as assigned.Position Type:
