Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals ready to make a real difference in schools near the Grand Blanc area! Multiple full-time positions are open for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students across all grade levels. Assignments vary, with roles in both self-contained classrooms and general education settings, including one-on-one work with students who have a range of needs—from mild to severe cognitive or emotional support. This contract position offers a meaningful way to positively impact students' learning and daily experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
Possess at least 60 semester hours of college credit, or hold an associate degree or higher Alternatively, an ETS Parapro Assessment score of at least 460 or SAT scores of at least 480 (evidence-based reading/writing) and 530 (math) Ability to provide official university transcripts, proof of assessment, or SAT results prior to submission for district review Experience in an educational or caregiving setting preferred Comfort with hands-on support, including assisting with toileting or health-related needs for students with significant disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering individualized instruction and classroom management Serve as a one-on-one aide for students, helping with academic, behavioral, and personal care needs throughout the school day Collaborate with teaching and support staff to foster a welcoming, positive learning environment Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Attend virtual interviews as required for placements
