The ideal candidate will work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviors, providing support and interventions to promote positive behavior and academic success. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, collaborating with educators and families, and implementing effective behavior management strategies. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students with behavioral challenges. Conduct assessments to identify the underlying causes of behavioral issues and monitor student progress. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create a supportive network for students. Provide direct support to students in both individual and group settings to promote positive behavior and social skills. Facilitate social skills training and conflict resolution sessions. Maintain accurate records of student behavior, interventions, and progress reports. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide behavior policies and programs. Provide training and support to staff on behavior management techniques and strategies. Act as a liaison between the school and outside agencies or resources when necessary. Stay informed about best practices in behavior intervention and participate in professional development opportunities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field. Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting. Knowledge of behavior management theories and techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed. Certification in crisis intervention or related training is preferred. Familiarity with special education laws and practices is a plus. Must pass background checks and comply with school district policies.
