Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Warren, MI 48088 Full-time Psychiatric Clinic 8 reviews Full-time We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing psychiatry team. This position provides the opportunity to care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced provider, we welcome applicants who are eager to learn and committed to providing high-quality psychiatric care. No psychiatric experience is required. We provide hands-on training and mentorship to help you develop confidence and succeed in the role. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for new admissions. Conduct psychiatric medication management and follow-up appointments. Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising psychiatrist. Order, review, and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic tests as appropriate. Complete admission, progress, and discharge documentation in a timely manner. Prepare discharge orders and coordinate continuity of care. Collaborate closely with social workers, nursing staff, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Participate in daily treatment team meetings and discuss patient progress. Educate patients and families regarding psychiatric diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record. Maintain a patient-centered, compassionate, and professional approach to care. Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant . Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent clinical judgment and willingness to learn. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
