Full Job Description Core Responsibilities Skill Building:
Teach and model basic living and social skills, including budgeting, meal preparation, transit utilization, and household management.
Symptom & Medication Management:
Assist clients in recognizing illness triggers, developing relapse prevention plans, and establishing medication routines.
Resource Connection:
Help clients navigate community resources, connect with natural support networks, and transition between care levels.
Crisis Intervention:
Provide immediate, on-site support and guidance during mental health crises.
Care Coordination:
Act as a liaison by communicating with psychiatrists, county case managers, family members, and employers.
Typical Requirements Education:
A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field (such as psychology, social work, or counseling).
Experience:
Often requires at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental health delivery, or a qualifying master's degree.
Licensing/Supervision:
Must practice under the clinical supervision of a qualified Mental Health Professional.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel directly to clients' homes or community centers.
